With a room decorated in red, white, and blue, the patriotic colors of the United States of America, made the day special.  Mai Olive Lusk hosted the Annual MLK Luncheon and Bridge with a few friends.  The friends and bridge players gathered at Harpers for the luncheon.

The luncheon began many years ago as it was developed in part to honor of Lusk’s son, Atlanta, Georgia Senator Hildred Wright.

The luncheon is always held on the celebration of Martin Luther King Day, but this year MLK Day was shared with the inauguration of the re-elected U.S. President, Barack Obama.  Thus, the room was decorated with flags, balloons, hats and streamers in red, white, and blue.

The guest arrived and were able to watch the presidential inauguration activities on a television where they also enjoyed a lunch of choice.  Harpers restaurant has a cafeteria-style of service that allowed the party guests to choose their desired lunch of hot meats, vegetables, salads, dessert and drinks.

Following their lunch, the members enjoyed several rounds of bridge.

Senator Thelma Harper also visited the members and Mai Olive Lusk.
