There is a new place to hang out and unwind after work these days, and nights. A diverse group of three owners of Nashville hotspot Jazz and Jokes have added another entertainment venue to the Nashville scene. The WKND Bar & Lounge (pronounced ‘weekend’) is located at 1703 Church Street, and the upscale bar and restaurant, in the midtown area (near downtown Nashville) is designed to be a relaxing atmosphere boasting an elevated southern experience.

“The WKND is a hip, yet mellow space where Nashvillians and visitors of all ages can come and socialize over dinner, drinks, or hookah,” said Joe Johnson, one of WKND’s three owners. “Everyone should experience our ‘new era of chill!’ It’s a concept that many have been asking us to develop for some time.”

WKND’s Neo Southern Tapas menu is perfect for sharing amongst friends, and is complimented by unique, destination-based cocktails and specialty drinks. The menu and drinks combine with the atmospheric qualities of a swanky lounge. Lounge goers can take advantage of a daily happy hour from 4-7 pm along with other amenities. Their newly renovated space includes a private lounge and booth areas where visitors can order from the club’s customized tobacco-less hookah menu.

WKND’s services enhance the lounge experience and create an environment that lives up to the tagline, ‘The Weekend: Everyday.’ With these conveniences, visitors will be encouraged to converse, network, and relax.

“Through WKND, we want to bring people of all walks-of-life together to create an environment where you can relax, as well as develop and foster relationships,” said Robert Higgins, another co-owner of WKND. “Providing an additional option for the midtown district is important growth for us and places us in an area that fosters business growth and offers a diversity of experiences.”
