‘Launch of the Green is Alive in District 5 Project’

Weatherizing your home will save you money on your utility bills, make your home more comfortable, and increase the value of your home. If you live in District 5, you may want to know more about the information stated above according to Councilman Scott Davis.

“You are invited to the ‘Launch of the Green is Alive in District 5 Project,’ on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at New Livingstone Baptist Church,” says Councilman Davis.

The goals of the Green is Alive in District 5 Project are to weatherize 100 homes and 10 businesses in Councilmatic District 5 by using the Mayor’s Nashville Energy Works program.

Councilman Davis said you may even get a rebate. “You may qualify for a $500 rebate from TVA and a low-interest rate loan from The Housing Fund,” said Davis. At the Launch you can pick up information about weatherizing. There will also be representatives available to counsel you about conditions at your home. There will also speakers from the Mayor’s Office, the Chamber of Commerce, and neighborhood groups. Food and drink will also be available. “We look forward to seeing you on April 6th at New Livingstone Baptist Church,” said Councilman Davis.
