No Weapon Formed Against Me Shall Prosper

In this life, we have to understand that regardless of how righteous we live, we will experience the attack of the enemy. The enemy is the devil, and he works hard daily to tear down the saints of god. The enemy is not the weather forecast or natural disasters. The enemy is that force residing in people (even in ourselves) causing us to doubt God and God’s purpose and destiny for our lives. Although the enemy seems to make progress in our lives, there is good news for us believing in the promises of God: “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from me,” Isaiah 54:17.

Often times we forget that we are dealing with the enemy. We think we are dealing with people. People do hurt us. People abuse other people. People are mean to other people. People exploit other people. The truth is that the enemy works through people. Unfortunately, people permit Satan to take advantage of them through hurt and pain and hatred. Satan uses them as weapons to implement his evil plans and schemes. When we see this happening, and weapons rise up against us, we must remember that they will not prosper.

As we confront the evils, we can rest assured that no matter how much the devil tries to beat us down, it will not work. The weapons might hurt us, cause us to fall, but they will not defeat us. The reason why they will not prosper is because through Jesus Christ, we are victorious.

With Jesus I can make it. With him, I know I can stand. No matter what may come my way, my life is in your hands. No weapon formed against me shall prosper.
