Second Corinthians 3:18 says “We all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the Glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image.” As a Christian do you exhibit a completely unveiled openness before God, allowing your life to become a mirror for others”? Has the Spirit filled and transformed you to where your inner Spirit senses and mirrors the Lord’s own character too.”?
We must concentrate on keeping our lives open to God, letting everything else including work, clothes, and food be set aside. Let other things come and go as they will. Let other people criticize you as they will. But, never allow anything to obscure the life that is “hidden with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3).
Living a hurried lifestyle can disturb the relationship of abiding in Christ. The Atonement of the Lord is the greatest source of power Christians have and the central point of our discipleship. When Christians act in confident faith of what our Lord did on the cross, a supernatural identification with His death takes place immediately. We will come to know through a higher knowledge that our old life was crucified with Him (Romans 6:6). The proof that our old life is dead, having been “crucified with Christ” (Galatians 2:20), is the amazing ease with which the life of God in us now enables us to obey the voice of Jesus Christ.
Jesus’ inner abiding with God was pure and unblemished. He was at home with God wherever His body was. He never chose His own circumstances, but was meek, submitting to the Father’s will. Pray that the Spirit helps us to make the determination to abide in Jesus wherever we are . My weekly Prayer is for the reader of this commentary to be Spiritually inspired of God.
