He then preached his first sermon in that same year on June 13th under the leadership of the Reverend Enoch Fuzz at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church.

After he received his license to preach the gospel, Rogers continued to exercise his gift in the ministry by delivering sermons at local churches as well as other places. Rogers also participated in the Billy Graham Crusade and other oratorical engagements that allowed him the opportunity of national travels to speak to many. His oratorical gifts, led him to receive four gold medals as he was excellent in the deliverance of Dr. Martin Luther King’s speech, “I Have A Dream.”

Gleason Rogers is a graduate of Lipscomb University, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in business and Bible. Rogers works as the chapel leader and University Multicultural Affairs for the university. He has experience in human resources and business development and also served as the District Human Resources Specialist for a Fortune 500 company.

Rev. Gleason Rogers is a member of the Interdenom-inational Ministers Fellow-ship (IMF) as well as several other community and Christian organizations. He has received several awards including being named Ambassador for the Marketing Business Academy.

Currently, Rogers is the founder of Rogers’ Motivational Company. He said, “The company is designed to motivate and transform the lives of others through motivational speaking.” He is also the founder of Rogers’ Designs, a company committed to “providing custom apparel.”

“Most of all, I am a saved, sanctified and Holy Ghost filled child of God that strongly believes in the scripture, Romans 10:17, that says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God,” said Rev. Rogers.

Gleason and his recently wed wife, Cassietta, are excited about sharing tis new experience with the members of Boyce Street Church. Feeling very well equipped to take on the task, the Rev. Rogers has not only served as an associate minister, but he has also been Assistant Pastor, choir director and president of choirs throughout his ministry while also teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Rogers said, “The people should know that there is still good leadership out there,” as he is determined to make a difference in the lives of those he pastors.

It would be a real honor for family, friends and the community to come out and celebrate the installation ceremonies to be held for Rev. Gleason Rogers as he becomes the pastor of Boyce Street Church, 1620 Rosa L. Parks Blvd.
