The best way to be certain you’ll be able to buy tickets to see the classic horror/operetta Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, playing at TPAC and presented by the Tennessee Rep, is to buy your tickets now.

The Oct. 4-25 production is likely to sell out soon, so don’t put this one off.

With lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and book by Hugh Wheeler, Sweeney Todd is a staple of Broadway and regional stages, and was made popular with the masses by the Johnny Depp movie version.

The cast of Sweeney Todd features Matthew Carlton, Galen Fott, Nathan Meyer, Whitney Meyer, Megan Murphy-Chambers, Patrick Waller, Jennifer Whitcomb-Oliva, Samuel Whited, Martha Wilkinson, and Bobby Wyckoff.

Nathan and Whitney Meyer attended Belmont University and will make their Tennessee Rep stage debut in this Stephen Sondheim classic. Nathan and Whitney say:

“We celebrate our five-year wedding anniversary in September of this year, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to return to Nashville where we met in college at Belmont University to do one of our bucket list shows, Sweeney Todd, opposite each other as the love birds Johanna and Anthony. We could not be more thrilled! ”
