Nashville’s Adventure Science Center is the place to be at the end of the month. The Doctor, Britain’s sensational time-traveling alien adventurer with a fondness for Earthlings, will be the subject of two nights of fun events January 30 and 31. One will be all-ages, family affair, while the other is a rollicking adults-only evening.

Doctor Who Family Night/Wibbly Wobbly Family Night is Friday, Jan. 30. Activities as part of admission include Make-your-own Sonic Screwdriver and more hands-on science activities; a Costume contest; Planetarium shows (at 7 pm, 7:45 pm, 8:30 pm, and 9:15 pm). Extra charge activities include Food Trucks onsite and ‘make your own T-shirt or print’ with Hip Hues.

Tickets are $25 for members and $35 for non-members and include admission from 6:30-10 pm, souvenir cup, commemorative pin and complimentary beverages (water and soft drinks), and Planetarium Show, based on availability (seating first come, first served).

Children two and under are admitted free. You must be 16 or older to attend without an adult. Valid photo ID is required at the door if 16 or older. Please purchase your tickets in advance; the tickets are non-refundable, but are transferable. The program is subject to change. If you have a group of 20 or more people, then call 615-401-5067 to learn about group ticket rates.

Wibbly Wobbly Way Late Play Date is Saturday night, Jan. 31. Way Late Play Dates typically sell out before the event, so don’t procrastinate. You really should get your tickets as soon as you decide to go, because these events do sell out in advance. These Way Late Play Date events require a minimum age of 18. You must be 21 or older to purchase alcohol. A valid photo ID will be required at the door. Tickets are non-refundable, but are transferable. The program is subject to change. Tickets are $30 for members and $35 for non-members and include admission from 6:30-10 pm, Planetarium show (based on availability; seating is first come, first served), souvenir cup and 3 beverage tickets (beer, wine and soft drinks).
Activities at no extra charge include Make-Your-Own Sonic Screwdriver and more hands-on science activities; Costume contest (prizes include tickets to future Way Lates); Trivia presented by Wannado; and Planetarium shows at 7 pm, 7:45 pm, 8:30 pm, and 9:15 pm. Extra charge activities include Food Trucks onsite, i.e., Electric Sliders, etc. and Make Your Own T-shirt or print with Hip Hues.

Every few months the Center opens from 6:30-10 pm to adults-only for a night of science and fun. Each Way Late has a special theme with cool science activities to take part in. Plus, you’ll have all the floor exhibits to yourself, including the laser game Body Battles in BodyQuest, the Tilt a World in Space Chase and the many levels of the Adventure Tower. All the center’s exhibits are adult-friendly, so if the kids can climb it or slide down it, so can you!
