Thursday, July 23, don your favorite cape/mask combo and fly over to the Adventure Science Center for another installment of the wildly popular Way Late Play Date. Explore the science behind some of your favorite box office superheroes from 6:30 to 10 pm.

Activities in part of the evening’s fun at no extra charge include all the center’s regular attractions, the Planetarium, and special activities and demonstrations. Extra cost activities include Food Trucks onsite, like Steaming Goat and Confeastador. You can make your own T-shirt or print with Hip Hues.

Way Late Play Dates are quarterly events designed as an adults-only night of science and fun, each having a special theme with cool science activities to take part in. All the floor exhibits, including the laser game Body Battles in BodyQuest, the Tilt-a-World in Space Chase, and the Adventure Tower, are adult-friendly, but now you can enjoy them without the kids!Mark your calendar now for the next Way Late Play Date — Oct. 1 People’s Choice.

Way Late Play Dates typically sell out in advance. Adults only, 21+; valid photo ID required. Tickets (non-refundable, but transferable) are $30 for non-members; $20 for members, at www.adventuresci.org and include admission to all exhibits and activities from 6:30 to 10 p.m., a planetarium show, souvenir cup and three beverage tickets. Planetarium shows are hourly, at 7:00, 8:00, 9:00,  included in your admission, based on availability; seating first come, first served. If tickets are still available the night of the event, they can be purchased at guest services for $35.
