East Nashville voters have given incumbent Metro Councilman Scott Davis four more years to serve them. The district encompasses the neighborhoods east of Gallatin pike and has been facing a balancing act between new development and maintaining the “charm” of the existing neighborhood.
Davis managed to stay positive, bringing voters a message of positive growth and increased prosperity, despite his opposition’s unsuccessfully use negativity to try and unseat him.
At his victory party at The Vine restaurant located 501 Main street, Davis said, “I want to thank my neighbors who voted for me. We will continue what we’ve started.” Davis talked about how he and his neighbors have been fixing the homes of the seniors in his district, and helping to increase employment in the area by partnering with businesses.
“More jobs, more affordable housing, and more great things!”
Davis thanked his wife, daughter, mother, campaign manager and many supporters.
