IEBA (International Entertainment Buyers Association), the leading trade organization for live entertainment professionals, will host its 45th Annual Conference Oct. 10 – 13, 2015, at the Omni Nashville and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Every year, the preeminent conference features targeted programming for industry professionals who buy and sell talent and is packed full of networking opportunities, thought-provoking panels, and great live performances.
IEBA’s 2015 Hall of Fame inductees and achievement honorees include Dick Clark, Lawrence Welk, Johnny Cash, The Doobie Brothers, Erv Woolsey and Dale Morris, Pat Benatar, Neil Giraldo, and Clint Black. Actor Jeffrey Tambor will deliver the keynote address “Performing Your Life.” Grammy-nominated Producer and DJ Morgan Page will lead a conversation on EDM. Other panels highlighting the current state of the industry include Ticketmaster’s Brian Bowe and Joe Kustelski, CEO of Etix.
“Our industry is in the midst of a sea change,” states IEBA Executive Director Pam Matthews. “The way fans experience live entertainment is evolving. The key word here is experience. Existing technologies for ticketing, data metrics, IT/Wi-Fi, event apps, integrated social campaigns and analytic-based marketing strategies are constantly fine-tuned to improve the fan experience. Platforms new just a few seasons ago, like RFID and cashless payment, are becoming commonplace. New solutions are continually emerging, and those innovations will make for interesting conversations at our Conference this year.”
In addition to incredible live entertainment, IEBA’s annual conference provides targeted programming for the talent buying industry, featuring diverse and uniquely crafted informational panels with some of the industry’s leading decision makers and trendsetters. The conference addresses specific areas of the live entertainment business including arena tours, clubs & colleges, the casino business, corporate & private events, fairs, and all types of festivals. The conference is more than a state-of-the-industry consortium; programming remains focused on buying and selling talent and addresses the specialized ways business is done in particular areas.
IEBA’s annual conference provides an atmosphere that fosters networking and collaboration through roundtable discussions, intimate panels and IEBA’s well-known Agents Alley, a time for entertainment buyers and agents to discuss the specifics of the upcoming touring season. Returning to the conference this year is Promoters Alley, a meet and greet of the same style where promoters will spend quality time with their valued partners, e.g. Live Nation, AEG Live, Feld Entertainment, Outback Concerts, AC Entertainment, NS2, Red Mountain Entertainment, SMG, Spectra, and more.
Dozens of acts, including many Grammy-winning artists, will grace IEBA stages during this year’s conference. Among them are Salt-N-Pepa, The Bar-Kays, WAR, The Family Stone, G. Love & Special Sauce, Calamity Jane Starring Louise Mandrell, Terri Clark, Morgan Page, Howard Jones, Survivor, The Company Men, Damien Escobar, Strung Like A Horse, Maggie Rose, Dailey & Vincent, Keith Anderson, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas, Home Free, Waterloo Revival, The Fray, Rick Monroe, Sawyer Fredericks, Carly Pearce, Benton Blount, Vixen, Rachel Platten, The Jacksons, Ricky Nelson Remembered starring Matthew & Gunnar Nelson, and Blood, Sweat, & Tears featuring Bo Bice.
