Fisk University celebrates Homecoming 2015 Sunday, November 8 through Saturday, November 14. Their theme this year is Mardi Gras. Expect to experience the fun and comraderie of an historically black college in full effect. Fisk has activities planned for returning alumni, as well as current and future (prospective) students and friends of the historic school, Nashville’s first University. The university’s Homecoming week celebrates long-standing traditions with a Royal Coronation and Ball, concerts, sports events, a fashion show, and of course, parties.

The schedule of festivities begins Sunday morning, Nov. 8 with the Family worship service at 9:30 am in the Clinton B. Fisk Memorial Chapel.

Monday’s scheduled activities include a Homecoming Luncheon in the Adam K. Spence Hall, followed by a Volleyball game at 7pm in Henderson A. Johnson Gymnasium ($10 Admission). Tuesday’s schedule includes a Comedy Show ($15 Admission) at 7 pm in Henderson A. Johnson Gymnasium.

Wednesday’s scheduled events include the Mr. & Miss Fisk Coronation at 7 pm in the Clinton B. Fisk Memorial Chapel followed by the Coronation Ball at 9 pm in the Henderson A. Johnson Gymnasium. Thursday’s slate includes a Concert ($25 Admission) at 9 pm in the Henderson A. Johnson Gymnasium.

Friday’s special attraction is Legacy Day. Legacy Day 2015 will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015, during Homecoming 2015. This event allows Fisk University alumni to bring their children and grandchildren on campus to attend classes and learn about the Fisk Experience. Legacy Day is geared toward high school juniors and seniors.

This is the beginning of the journey for Fisk legacies. They will have the opportunity to spend the day on the Fisk campus to participate in info-packed activities and interact with current Fisk students, as well as faculty. Parents will have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the admission process and financial aid.

The day will start at 9 am with Registration & a Welcome that will include a Continental Breakfast in the Appleton Room of Jubilee Hall, actual college class attendance with student representatives, the Fisk Pep Rally at 12 Noon, followed by Lunch in the student cafeteria. At 2 pm, a presentation on the Admissions Process and Financial Aid (Parents) coincides with a Tour of Campus (Students) before dinner at 5:30 pm with current legacies, school officials and discipline coordinators in the Multi-purpose Room.

The day will end with one of the Homecoming 2015 events – the Living Learning Center Battle in the Gymnasium, from 7-9 pm. (View the complete Homecoming 2015 Schedule via the web at: www.fisk.edu/homecoming).
