Senior Day at TSU, Saturday, November 6, 2015 in Hale Stadium, was a day to remember for the Aristocrat of Bands. In addition to highlighting their 34 graduating seniors, the band received two checks totaling $55,000 for their use from two different donors. Former Aristocrat / band member Sedrick T. Turner donated $25,000 to the TSU Foundation, earmarked for the band. Walter J. Overton, manager of Nissan Stadium, presented a check for $30,000 from the Tennesssee Titans Foundation to the TSU Foundation, also earmarked for the band.

Turner is a former band member who graduated from TSU in 1993 and made an individual contribution to help the band program. The Tennessee Titans Foundation makes annual contributions to help the band program, whose Spirit Band will once again perform for the Titans at Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. The donations will assist the band to purchase new uniforms. That fund-raising effort will require $300,000 and your donations are appreciated. Contact Ben Northington at the TSU Foundation, 615-963-5522, to help out.
