The Nashville Chapter of the National Hook-Up of Black Women, Inc. will host the Reaching for the Stars Teen Summit on Saturday, January 30—according to co-chairs Nikki Murry, Valencia Mitchell, and Pennye Neal.
“We are very excited. Our community must be engaged in building our future leaders. The Reaching for the Stars Teen Summit provides us the unique opportunity to show our future leaders that we care,” said Tenn. state Rep. Brenda Gilmore, NHBW Nashville chapter president.
The NHBW, Inc. Teen Leadership Development Initiative offers a unique opportunity for local teens (ages 12-18) to unite in one accord and learn various techniques to become positive role models and citizens of Nashville.
The Reaching for the Stars Teen Summit will be held on January 30, from 8 am to 4 pm at the Goodwill Center 937 Herman St. Nashville.
Workshop topics include but are not limited to:
• College Preparation/Financial Aid
• Body Image
