Summer is heating up, and so are plans for the upcoming Reunion event for St. Vincent de Paul School. Anyone who ever attended or friends and family members of attendees are welcome to participate. You or they need not have graduated to be perfectly welcome. This is a celebration of and for folks who had connections to this amazing, but now closed, historic Nashville educational institution.

Saturday, July 9 is St. Vincent de Paul Reunion Spirit Day, and all are invited to come out and learn more about the upcoming Reunion which will be held on Labor Day weekend, September 2 – 4, 2016. Swett’s Restaurant at 2725 Clifton Road, Nashville 27209 will host the dutch treat affair from 1:00 until 3:00 pm. Celebrate the upcoming reunion which, while being hosted by the classes of 1963 through 1967, is for all who ever had anything at all to do with the the school — students, friends and family.

Wear the school colors of blue and gold, bring pictures from your school days and of you and your friends from ‘back in the day’ along with any other memorabilia you might have, and most importantly, you rmemories of the times and the people that made St. Vincent de Paul School so special.

The July 9 event is an opportunity to find out about all the activities being planned. You can register and purchase tickets for Reunion events, even volunteer for committees so you can work closely with old friends or schoolmates again, or for the first time! Bring your school spirit and southern charm!

Online registration is encouraged and the planing committee has done an excellent job in keeping cost down through vigorous solicitation of generous donations from class members, successful fundraising and volunteer efforts that have garnered additional resources to support this event.

The basic registration fee of only $150 includes the Gala on Saturday, your Souvenir, a Memory Book, access to the Hospitality Room and your Contribution. Your spouse or partner’s registration is only $75 and covers the Gala and Hospitality Room access.

Ala carte activities on Friday, September 2 include The “New” Nashville Tour ($20) A three hour tour showcasing old locations and the “new” sights and/or the Welcome Mixer ($25) from 6 – 10 pm at the Ivy Center of Nashville with food, dancing & entertainment. The ala carte activity on Saturday is a Cookout ($30) from 11 am – 2 pm in Centennial Park with food, competitions & entertainment.

Sunday begins with Worship and a Memorial Service at 11 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, followed by a Tour of the St. Vincent de Paul School at 12:30. Ala carte activity on Saturday is the Closing Brunch ($20) from 1:00 – 2:30 pm with food and entertainment at the School.
