Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee were excited for Congressman Cooper to visit the Andrew Jackson Club on Thursday, August 8, 2016 at 4 PM. Andrew Jackson Boys & Girls Club, located at 916 16th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37208.

This summer the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee are eager to host their elected representatives to share the impact of the local, community-based services they provide to constituents. From serving meals to closing the summer learning gap, Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee demonstrates the possibilities when communities band together toward a common cause.

Visiting a Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee site this summer is an opportunity for community partners, including elected representatives to connect with local youth as middle Tennessee community prepares to kick off a great start to the school year.

Congressman Jim Cooper as well as President/CEO Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee Dan Jernigan, Chief Development Officer, Jennifer Wheeler, and Andrew Jackson Club Director, Dellenio Bond, were all in attendance.

For more than 113 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee (BGCMT) has enabled all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

Annually, more than 3,400 youth are served at seven Middle Tennessee Boys & Girls Clubs and through community outreach initiatives. This particular location, the Andrew Jackson Club, has anywhere from 200-210 Club members each day.

Clubs are located in Davidson & Williamson counties. Boys & Girls Clubs provides a safe place, professional caring staff, fun and friendship, and high-impact youth development programs on a daily basis during critical non-school hours.
