On December 3, 2016 The Wooten Brothers reunite for Joseph Wooten’s annual Birthday & Christmas Party at ACME Feed & Seed from 6:00pm – 10:00pm! Victor Wooten, Roy “FutureMan” Wooten, Reggie Wooten, and Joesph Wooten will perform their innovative funk music in a special place for them. The Wooten Brothers Band played their first show in a Nashville club in 1992.
“Nashville is a special place for us,” said Joseph Wooten. “We moved around a lot as children, but we landed in Nashville during the mid-80’s and thus became known as the first musical family from Nashville.”
With this family affair get ready for the show of four brothers that have been jamming together since they were children. For over four decades the Wooten Brothers have been recognized as innovate and are collectively know as the most talented band of brother the world has seen.
Celebrating Joseph’s Birthday will bring that old-school funk, soul and R&B they have been perfecting for years. Joseph Wooten is currently playing the keyboard in the Steve Miller Band and his own band Hands of Soul. He has also collaborated with the likes of Whitney Houston and Kenny G among others. Ten collective Grammy Awards and a strong sense of family can be added to the impressive resume of the Wooten Brothers. With these icon brothers you never know who will show up to this family affair.
Experience, originality and musical expertise will bring high-energy reuniting the four Wooten brothers as well as Joseph’s son Jesse Wooten on drums. The concert is not only for Joseph’s birthday but to benefit a great cause, as proceeds will be given to the Nashville Peacemakers. With a mission to reach out and empower youth who are plagued by the roots of poverty, violence and self-defeating attitudes.
