DETROIT–It’s not every day that an entity (especially a church) can announce their joy at becoming 100 years old and still making a variable difference with all that they do.
For the last century, Hartford Memorial Baptist Church has been much more than a brick and mortar place to worship on Sundays. From its inception until now, Hartford Memorial remains involved in all facets of members lives from beginning to end and whatever lies in between, including: pastoral care; new members orientation classes; inspirational ministry; a specialty ministry called the Stephen Ministry; daily scriptures; visitation requests; study tools; prayer requests; church calendar; hospital ministry; a full service wedding ministry (including pre-marital counseling); funeral ministry; bookstore ministry; streaming services; business directory; baptisms; and counseling ministries. The Weekly Offering and the Looking Ahead Ministry are just a few of the ways that Hartford Memorial stays connected in and out of the church, sharing in the life and times of each member’s or potential members’ lives.
The church is located at 18700 James Couzens Highway, Detroit, Mich. 48235. Rev. Dr. Charles G. Adams is the esteemed shepherd of the house. Rev. Charles C. Adams is the presiding pastor.
