The men of Clark Memorial United Methodist Church, 1014 14th Ave. N., are set for celebrating Men’s Day. The Men’s Day worship celebration will be held at 8 am and 10:45 am.

‘Men on the Move’ is the theme chosen for this year’s Men’s Day, taken from 1 King 2:2: “When David’s time to die approached, he charged his son Solomon, saying, “I’m about to go the way of all the earth, but you—be strong; show what you’re made of! Do what God tells you. Walk in the paths he shows you: Follow the life-map absolutely, keep an eye out for the signposts, his course for life set out in the revelation to Moses; then you’ll get on well in whatever you do and wherever you go. Then God will confirm what he promised me when he said, ‘If your sons watch their step, staying true to me heart and soul, you’ll always have a successor on Israel’s throne.’”

Dr. Andre Lee is a long time member of Clark Memorial and “one who walks in the paths shown.” Lee is a retired hospital administrator who continues to be a teacher and motivator. He is often utilized as a consultant for hospitals, clinics, hospice and other healthcare facilities. He has spent his life in the field of healthcare, and understands the extreme importance of health.

Dr. Lee is the president of Leeway Health Education Foundation, which offers an online educational center to learn about healthcare. The program offers information about exercise for seniors, nutrition, saving/shopping for medical services, shopping for food and healthcare for kids and much more. Also, as one who has always had a passion for Black medical history, Lee created an elaborate exhibit of a chronological history that tours the country.

“People often talk and never do, but you are doing,” said Ike Engelbaum R.Ph. “You have taken your experience and put it to use in a most useful way.”

The public is encouraged to visit Clark Memorial to hear an extraordinary man, Dr. Andre Lee, as he delivers a message representing ‘Men on the Move.’ To learn more about the program, Leeway Health Education Foundation, visit .
