Inaugural #BeautyNIC Community Day coming to Centennial Park soon

Who doesn’t love a picnic—an atmosphere filled with good clean fun in a safe environment, complete with games, food trucks, music, speakers and presenters making a difference in our community at large?

July 30 is not too far away, and Nashville’s Centennial Park will be abuzz for the inaugural #BeautyNIC community event. The popular top-rated radio and television show I Just Got My Hair Did, media personality team will launch their first ‘Beauty NIC.’ The I Just Got My Hair Did team is comprised of Yolonda ‘Yolo Bee’ Beech, Chris Bond and Tanya Davis. This will be a day in the park with adults and kids of all ages enjoying the variety of fanfare for all. It’s suggested that all interested save the date and pencil it in to assure attendance.

Here are some of the movers and shakers adding to the days line up, including Nashville area individuals, as well as nationally known professionals and personalities: Davidson County Juvenile Court Judge Sheila Calloway, 58th District Tennessee House of Representatives and Pastor of Lee Chapel AME Church; Harold M. Love, Jr.; the Beauty Counter – Beautiful Products Made Safe; Hip Hop artist and rapper Grown Kidd; stage and sound production by Victor Chatman, founder of Jazz on the Cumberland; #BeautyNIC Chief Coordinator Charles L. Sneed; #BeautyNIC Volunteer Coordinator TaRita Wright; award winning Gospel recording artists Dionne Jermeia and Iva Foster Pace; and Jazz and Gospel recording artist Trish Stanley; #BeautyNic Games and Events Coordinator Leia Avery; #BeautyNic City and Community Outreach Director Yolanda Hockett; presenting the I Just Got My Hair Did team with a proclamation will be 54th District Rep. Brenda Gilmore.

The line up continues with the Father of Rappino, music recording artist and musician JaeFriz; R&B recording artist Traci Augustine; music recording artist Ronnie Robinson; and poetess Taomi Ray; music recording artist Jeremy Whaley; music artist Wyte T. Breezy; Neo Soul music recording artist Cojo-Ko; an ‘author’s corner and book signing’ with Evangelist Sonja Vaughn Brown, author of From Prison to Praise; and author Bruce Buckner, Living Life in Terre Haute. Also they’ve added an artist recognized from the popular television show America’s Got Talent, R&B Soul recording artist Alicia Michilli.

The fun and festivities slated for Sunday July 30 begin at 11 am and end at 6 pm. The event is free to the public, but purchases for food and vendor services are not. Parking is free and on a first come, first serve basis and the I Just Got My Hair Did team, #BeautyNIC organizers, invite everyone to this community and family oriented event.
