The Clarksville, Tenn. based Mile High Church is located in Clarksville but has strong ties to the Nashville community. On October 1, at 4 pm, the church will celebrate two years of service, with an anniversary event that will be remembered for years. Rev. Robert Gordon, senior pastor, and Lady Treva Gordon will preside, with the event hosted by Kevin Kennedy, attorney, of the Tennessee-based Kennedy Law firm. The Quality Inn Hotel is the venue, located at 3095 Wilma Rudolph Blvd., Clarksville, Tenn.
The Gordons noted that “all are welcome to attend, as the ministry is a non-denominational ministry, serving the people as a whole.”
The celebration line up will feature some of the top names in Gospel music, entertainment, and Christian culture. Guest speakers include: Rev. Alphonse Prather, musical director, J-RAD of Remnant of Faith, Clarksville; and the Mile High Praise Team and Mile High Male Chorus. Also included in the lineup are Nicole McKeage, LaRhonda Angelisa, Iva Foster, Garment of Praise Dance Ministry, and Evangelist Darlene Summerrville.
The Mile High Church was established in October 2015 with a great vision to minister in their community and beyond by reaching the lost souls for Jesus Christ.
“We strive to reach out to the community in love and share the love of God with every person we meet,” said Rev. Gordon.
Mile High Church is located in LaQuitia Inn, 251 Holiday Drive, Clarksville Tennessee.
Regular service times are Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:30 am with Rev. Gordon and First Lady Treva Gordon. Together their ministry is built upon their strong faith in knowing that God can and will do all things. Rev. Gordon was born in Waskon, Texas, while Lady Treva is from Michigan. Together they minister the powerful word of God, sharing each Sunday with the body of Christ. God called Rev. Gordon to ministry in early 2015. He answered the call and has been active ever since.
The key goal with this ministry is community outreach. In early 2017, Mile High Church started a laundry detergent ministry providing laundry soap, toiletries and other donated items to families in need. The Gordon’s expressed a dire need to have a building of their own for their ministry.
“We are working together in our community to help offer assistance to our community by feeding the poor, visiting nursing homes, and serving prisons,” said Lady Treva.
Lady Treva is widely known for being the executive producer, visionary and co-host with Kevin Kennedy for the Treva and Kevin Show. The show airs on Comcast CW MY TV-30, Channel 17, at 7:30 am, Wednesday mornings, and on the Internet and Facebook. The show broadcasts throughout Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, and Georgia and has even been picked up as far away as Indiana and Michigan. There is no other Christian, inspirational talk show like it and the guests hail from nearby and all parts of the country. They recently opened a Nashville office and more production will soon be in Nashville. Talks are also underway to take the show nationwide and include the Mile High Church in that lineup.
The Gordon’s three children are Robert, Jr. (USN active duty); Robyn; and Tevin. They are supportive and lend their talents to the ministry and children’s ministry whenever possible.
