The Urban Enterprise Group and Urban League Young Professionals of Middle Tennessee are hosting their annual Invest Black Brunch. They are seeking to bridge the gap between investors and potential investment opportunities in the black owned community. Their event has been thoughtfully designed to provide excellent learning opportunities for all participants.
They are seeking to educate participants about the vehicle developed by the Urban Enterprise Group to invest in the black community. This will be an outstanding opportunity for networking with like-minded professionals. This is a great chance to make connections with black owned businesses to support them and enhance the community.
The venue was chosen specifically in order to provide an upscale and professional environment. There will be live music, brunch hors d’oeuvre and drinks during the networking opportunities.
The Urban Enterprise Group (UEG) was developed by the Urban League Young Professionals. This specialized group manages and oversees various investments and private equity funds. The objective of the Urban Enterprise Group is to support the growth of the minority community and those that participate in the group. The UEG does this by investing in the following assets: (1) Securities such as stock, bond, funds, etc.; (2) Minority owned businesses with high growth potential; (3) Invest in Real Estate with a focus on minority communities.
In addition to these areas of focus, the UEG has defined three underlying purposes of this fund:
(1) Foster minority small business growth and other minority focused opportunistic endeavors; (2) Support and develop real estate and community development in the black community; and (3) Provide additional income to participants.
