WizardWorld ComicCon Nashville 2017 (September 8-10) prompted many ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ for pageantry and amazing costumes, including those in and out of the show. Each one was unique in its own style and attraction.
The vast audience consisted of lay people, first time and veteran ComicCon attendees, and Nashville celebrities (attending with or without their children). The crowd hailed from Tennessee’s capitol city, throughout the mid-state and beyond. Many non-profit organizations as well as several private companies also supported this year’s event—either as attendees or sponsors and/or vendors. Some combined presence and support categories.
A top-flight celebrity lineup was onboard, including: Marvel Comics CEO Emeritus Stan Lee; Lou Ferringno; Val Kilmer, Batman Forever and Top Gun; Nichelle Nichols from the original Star Trek; Charisma Carpenter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer; Jason Mewes Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks; and Dean Cain, Lois & Clark and The New Adventures of Superman/Supergirl.
It’s indeed a sensational convention geared for most ages. A one-word description? ‘Super-Fantastic!’
The event marked Wizard World’s fourth annual show in Nashville and the 11th on Wizard World’s 2017 calendar. The Animation Entertainment Tour concluded its Nashville stop but is now on to other cities.
