Good Neighbor Day features prize winning contests, more

In less than two weeks, North Nashville based Elizabeth Park will be the proud host of the 5th annual Neighborhoods Celebration. It’s deemed the Good Neighbor Day and is a day of positive, memorable fun for all. The park is centrally located at 1701 Arthur Avenue, Nashville, Tenn. 37208. There will be plenty of free parking (on a first come first serve basis), and admission is also free of charge.

Amid the parades, the North Nashville History project, Music and Spoken Word Stages, Neighborhood Games and Neighborhood Showcases, there are great opportunities to win prize money.

It will be a day of positive, productive fun, and the opportunity to celebrate an amazing Nashville neighborhood.

The prize monies include:
Chili Cook Off: 1st place $500; 2nd place $250; 3rd place $125.

Neighborhood Games: 1st place $500; 2nd place $250; 3rd place $125

Neighborhood Show-case: 1st place $500; 2nd place $250; 3rd place $125

Baking Contest: 1st place $250; 2nd place $125; 3rd place $75

Dance Contest: 1st place $125; 2nd place $75; 3rd place $50

‘Three on Three’ Basketball Tournament (ages 18-21): 1st place $400; 2nd place $300; 3rd place $200

Three on Three Basketball Tournament (ages 14-17): 1st prize $300; 2nd prize $200; 3rd place $100

These prizes are for both individual and groups to win and all are welcome to enter according to their age and qualification category.

There will be food, fanfare and a myriad of activities for kids of all ages (adults too).

Many citywide organizations, agencies and companies have contributed on various levels to help make this year’s event phenomenal. It’s a day of comfort, art, history, sensational tastes, sights and sounds.
