New North Nashville mural depicts Civil Rights activists

Mayor Barry, along with North Collective, Google Fiber and Urban Housing Solutions unveiled a mural to the North Nashville community as reminder of the sacrifice that others made to get Nashville to where it is today. The 1,000 square foot mural, “Perserverance” depicts civil rights champions Diane Nash, Curlie McGruder, Z. Alexander Looby and John Lewis. The project is dedicated to the late Rev. Bill Barnes.
