Early voting for the Vice Mayoral race has begun

(l-r) Jim Schulman and Sheri Weiner

Early voting in the run-off election for Nashville’s vice mayor has begun.

With none of the candidates in the general election receiving more than 50% of the vote, the top two competitors Jim Schulman and Sheri Weiner are going head to head to determine the city government’s number 2 spot.

Officials are anticipating a low voter turnout because of the large number of elections this year, spurred by the resignation of former Nashville mayor, Megan Barry.

Early voting at the Metro office building located at 800 2nd Avenue South, 4th Floor, Nashville is open Monday thru Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday 8 am thru 12:00 noon.

All other early voting locations open on Monday, August 27th from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and 8:00 am thru 6:30 pm on Tuesday and Thursday.

Early voting continues through September 1. Election Day is September 6.
