Early voting for the Vice Mayor Runoff Election expanded to 10 additional sites across the city this week. Polling locations will be open through Saturday, September 1st. Election Day for the Vice Mayor Runoff Election will be Thursday, September 6th.

The race between candidates Jim Schulman and Sheri Weiner is expected to be close, with an anticipated lower than normal voter turnout due to a large number of elections this year. The winner will fulfill the unexpired term of David Briley, who was elected mayor after Megan Barry’s resignation in March.

Early voting at the Metro office building located at 800 2nd Avenue South, 4th Floor, Nashville is open Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. thru 12:00 noon.
All other early voting locations will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

All voting locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Election Day. Voters will need to present a photo ID issued by the Federal or Tennessee state government. On Election Day, citizens must vote at their assigned polling place. To find your assigned location, visit
