Have an Otherworld Encounter this winter

Otherworld Encounter is a new Nashville-based interactive visual art exhibit, debuting at The Nashville Fairgrounds on December 29, 2018 through January 13, 2019. Combining elements of an arts festival, science-fiction cinema and a physical adventure game (The Escape Game), Otherworld Encounter is a groundbreaking experience where innovative technologies, such as virtual reality and holograms, are fused with artistic creations.

Otherworld offers you the chance to see, touch, climb, play and ultimately become a part of a series of installations crafted by Nashville creatives. Founded by Nashville’s OWN (Otherworld Network), Otherworld Encounter actualizes the skills and ideas made tangible by a collective of the area’s visual virtuosos. Providing an outlet for creativity, art and business education, Otherworld Encounter is highlighting Nashville as a hub for new technology and immersive art experiences.

According to Rick Prince, “After experiencing Meow Wolf in person our CEO Sheila Whitlow decided that our community deserved a company like this to transform the creative economy in Nashville and to give artists the freedom to create new art experiences … I visited Meow Wolf last October and when I came back to Nashville I was noticed a pattern of amazing immersive events that were happening. … I wanted to create Nashville’s very own immersive production company and I knew that the creative talent was here… I’m super proud of our collective of creatives and group of founders and we can’t wait until you get to experience what we have in store for you!”
