Fire Damages Former Haddox Pharmacy
NFD Fire Marshal is investigating as a suspicious fire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –  Nashville Fire Department Arson Investigators are searching for the person or people who started a fire inside the former Haddox Pharmacy located at 1508 Charlotte Pike, Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

People in the area began calling 911 shortly after 9:30 am when they spotted smoke coming from the building. NFD personnel arrived on scene three minutes later and made a forcible entry into the back of the building.

The firefighters made an aggressive interior attack on the fire and were able to put the fire out quickly.

The building did not have working electricity and based on information from the first firefighters to make entry investigators believe the fire was intentionally set.

Luckily, there were no injuries to the public and no injuries to NFD personnel. Damage from the fire is contained to the former pharmacy.

The NFD reminds anyone who has vacant property to make sure the property is secured so that people looking to get out of the elements cannot get inside of the property.
