We can have full confidence in the Word of God because it is words spoken by God Himself. Its power lies in whose word it is. It is the word of the Lord. He is the reason behind the power.
1) He is the Great I Am (Revelation 1:18)
2) He is not a Man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19)
3) He is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6)
4) He is the Spirit of Truth (John 16:13)
5) He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8)
6) He is Love (John 4:8)
7) He is the Healer (1 Peter 2:24)
8) He is the word of God in the flesh (John 1-14) and the word was signed, sealed and delivered by the shedding of His blood.
The word of God is a powerful blood covenant between Father God and us (Hebrews 13:20). This covenant is forever (1 Peter 1:25). There is super- natural power in God’s word. His word will not return to him empty. God’s word will accomplish what He sends it to do (Isaiah 55:11).
In Exodus 14:5-31, God was the power source behind the parting of the Red Sea—not Moses. God sometimes uses man to accomplish his plans for us.
God’s word is a standard to live by. His word is reliable, truth, righteous, and good. It is everlasting. “Forever, O Lord thy word is settled in heaven,” Psalms 119:89.
Anything that God does is influenced by His love. When we worship God, we give him our best. We serve a God who needs nothing. He is independent and above all. He is the giver of life. He gives all men life and breath and everything else (Acts 17:25). God does not change. We can trust him to always act in accordance with his characteristics. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
God’s word is alive. It has the power to convict us of our sins. The word is like a seed, because it causes growth in our lives. It is compared to a hammer that breaks up the hard places in a person’s heart. The word of God is also like a fire. It burns away the impurities in our lives. It is like bread. It gives us daily nourishment and allows us to survive daily.
Whatever you need to survive, you can find it in God’s word. I urge you to open God’s word. Put His word into action in your life today. For God is able to do abundantly above all that you can think or imagine and watch and see the changes that will occur in your situation.
