A declaration for letting go

You will have trials in this life, but it’s how you react to them that will see you through. God has given you authority over everything “Behold, I give you authority to trample upon serpents and scorpions and over all the forces of the enemy; and nothing by any means will harm or hurt you,” Luke 10:19. Take and use the authority given to you by God against all unwanted situations in your life. Do not sit around in need. Repeat this declaration over your situation:

“In the name of Jesus, I declare that this (name the situation) has already been taken care of. I take authority in the name of Jesus that I am free from (name the illness or situation). I take possession of my healing now by faith in Jesus Christ and what He has accomplished for me on the cross. I believe and receive my healing now, in Jesus’ name. I want to thank you Jesus for rescuing me from the hand of the enemy. Amen.

“I will let the peace of God rule my life for I am already free of (name the situation). I am resting in what Jesus has accomplished for me on the cross.” (Note that if you are not sure what he’s accomplished for you, read my section on Jesus’ accomplishments on the cross when he said, ‘Father it is finished.’)

“I declare and take comfort in who I am in Christ Jesus. I am free from pain, sickness and grief (Isaiah 53:4-5). I believe 1 Peter 2:24, which says Jesus bore all of our sorrows and pain. He did not just bare some but all. He was wounded for my transgressions, he was bruised for my iniquities and with the stripes he took on his back I am made whole—whole in my spirit, soul and body. I believe this and I receive it in Jesus’ name.

“I take comfort in who I am in Christ. I am victorious over every situation that tries to come against me. I am blessed; I am saved; I am an overcomer; I am the righteousness of God; and I am set free because whomever the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:32).
