Faith building stories in Bible pertaining to healing

Jesus performed many miraculous healings and miracles when he lived on the earth. Some of them are mentioned more than once in the Bible. God recorded them so we could learn from them. They are also important reminders to us that Jesus does heal and that he does not show partiality. He heals all who will come to him. He’s the same healer then; he’s the same healer today; and he’s the same healer forever (Hebrews 13:8). He does not change.

In Luke 5:12-16 Jesus healed a man with leprosy, and in Matthew 17:14-21 he also healed a boy with epilepsy. During Jesus’ time on earth (over 2,000 year ago), leprosy was a contagious disease. There was no known cure for leprosy. People who contracted this disease were isolated from the population. Matthew 4:23 gives an account of Jesus healing a variety of diseases among the people. The entire chapters of Matthew 8 and 9 and also in Matthew 14 give accounts of Jesus healing many people of various ailments. In Mark 5:6, He heals a man with an evil spirit in him. Again, in verse 43 he healed a woman who was bleeding for 12 years. He raised Jairus’ daughter from the dead (Matthew 9:18-25). He healed many people in Mark 3:1-12.

Jesus healed many that were disabled. Some could not walk; some could not see; and some could not talk. He healed them all (Matthew 8 and 9). Jesus healed an officer’s servant (Matthew 8:5-13). Jesus healed this man from a distance while the officer was speaking to Jesus about his sick servant. This healing gives us a great example of strong faith that the officer had in Jesus’ ability to heal just by speaking words. The sick man was not near Jesus.

There is also the account of a man named Bartimaeus who was blind. Jesus restored his sight (Mark 10:46-52). Bartimaeus persisted to cry out to Jesus to have mercy on him even though the crowds tried to get him to be quiet. This story shows persistent faith. There is another account in which a woman of much faith sought Jesus to heal her daughter who had an evil spirit in her (Mark 7:24-30).

I mentioned these stories about Jesus healing so that you can see it did not matter what ailments the people possessed. Jesus healed them all. These stories give us a view of what persistent faith can accomplish. It does not matter today if you have physical, emotional or spiritual needs. Jesus can and is willing to heal you too.

Don’t let anything or anyone hinder you from receiving your healing. You must go to God. Kneel before him. Pray and believe that you are healed.    You must trust that God has already healed you. Come to him and don’t doubt. Put your faith and trust in him and receive your healing. He will not deny you of your blessing and your gift that He has been waiting on you to receive. Most importantly, don’t forget to thank him and to thank Jesus for supplying all of your needs.

If your body is in pain, talk to your body. Tell your body that Jesus has already healed you. Do not focus on the pain but focus on what Gods’ word says. “He sent His word and healed you,” Psalm 107:20. You tell the pain it cannot live in your body because only healing health and wholeness resides in your body. Say/; “In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

I am agreeing with you right now that you are healed. You are victorious, and you are an overcomer. You overcame because Jesus overcame. The greater one is within you and greater is He that is within you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4).
