Expressions of faith
Do you remember (part 3)

Bishop Monterey D. Lee, Sr

“Joshua said unto the children of Israel, you cannot serve the Lord for He is an holy God; He is a jealous God; He will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins,” Joshua 24:19-22.

So when you make the decision to serve God you need to evaluate your decision. Once you make this decision, there is no looking back. There will be no turning back, or going back. So what decision will you make? If you forsake the Lord, and serve strange gods, then he will turn to you and hurt you and consume you. He will turn against you harm you and completely destroy you.

So Joshua says I am going to remind you that you are serving God under a covenant promising that you will be cursed for disobedience.

Jesus expressed the same kind of warning, explaining that following Him took total commitment.

So know what you know, and what you don’t know: learn from your past.

So the people said unto Joshua, “We will serve the Lord.” And Joshua said to the people, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen this day the Lord. You will serve Him and Him only.”

We are witnesses in the Spirit to what we say.
